Lite editions are built for entry-level phones and expensive data: smaller downloads, lower RAM use, and far less mobile data than the full apps. Ideal for 1–2 GB-RAM devices on 3G.

Facebook Lite, Messenger Lite, Spotify Lite and friends are separate apps, not settings — you can run them alongside or instead of the full versions. They target Android Go phones, but they also stretch a 1 GB data bundle noticeably further on any device. If your phone has 2 GB of RAM or less, start with the Lite edition first.
